I work out or exercise six days per week most weeks, fast through breakfast, and plan healthy tasty dinners with mostly salads and veggies for lunch.

I go jogging hiking and lift weights while fasting .. Yes it took a long time(many fasts ) to be able to workout while fasting ..

Started Keto with this diet bet and weight flew off the first week. I’m a bit worried it’s all water weight so I’m not holding my breath but it feels good to finally see the numbers on the scale move. Anyone else doing keto? Have any tips?

Switchfootnow- i fast 14 hrs a day. I have a difficult time doing more. Mama of 3 under 5 needs her coffee first thing in the morning so my fast breaks :sweat_smile:

  • Eating out is always a challenge!! I just try and not include things with many carbs and eat more protein.
    I get all dips and sauces on side and I typically just dip my fork In. By the end I usually have some left over. My husband does the chips and salsa. Even if I ate one I’d eat them all so I just choose to opt out. lol. Chips and salsa could be life if I let it.

I have lost 6 lbs so far since intermittent fasting this week (I went from doing nothing for my health to fasting 20 hours or more per day and having one large nutrient, protein packed meal for dinner). It’s a difficult adjustment but easier during my week with my job because I’m busy and it distracts me.

I’m a little nervous going into the weekend knowing I want to be more relaxed, but not wanting to lose momentum. I need to make a plan. Maybe I’ll move to a 16-8 fast on the weekend and see where I sit with lbs and how I feel physically on Monday and adjust from there. Wishing everyone else a great weekend and good health!

Hi Kristina awesome job! I can’t seem to get to 20 but have been doing 16-18 no prob and dropping tons of weight. It’s almost surreal. Keep up the good work!

  • I started a ketogenic diet about a week ago, made it through the keto flu and now I’m feeling the best I’ve felt in years. I lost my first 60 pounds eating a 1500 calorie moderation diet but I hit a plateau. First week of Keto and I’m down 5 lbs. I’m sure a lot of that is water weight but I’m excited to see what future this has in store for me. I recently visited home and I got a picture with my dad who has lost 30 pounds. Here we are March 2023 vs March 2024 down 90 pounds collectively. This is my 7th DietBet!

14.5 hours into today’s fast. Woke up less bloated than normal. That’s pretty cool! Can I ask what you all are using as your go-tos for tackling this - nutrition, exercise, etc.?

  • I’m going a less popular route right now, but it’s been working amazingly for me. I’m doing a whole food, high carb, low fat vegan diet (I’m vegan for moral reasons so not being vegan is not an option for me). No beginners pain/struggling like with low carb, no crazy cravings, no hunger. I eat a buttload of food at every meal and so far I’ve lost 18 pounds since I started around the end of January. Take a look at my awesome huge bowl for lunch today!
